LOCATION: MCSO Aviation Hangar, Marathon
DESCRIPTION: This Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission 24-hour specialized training course conducts inspections of approved breath test instruments. Personnel possessing a valid Breath Test Operator permit may enroll in this course. Agency Inspector Renewals are required on or before the expiration date every four years.

Public Safety Bicycle Instructor Training Course
DATES/TIMES: Monday, June 18- Thursday, June 21, 2012/ 8:30 A.M to 6:30 P.M.
LOCATION: MCSO Aviation Hangar, Marathon
DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this course is to qualify police, fire, EMS and private security and military participants to conduct safe and credible in-service basic and refresher bike training to include specific patrol and response duties; prepare and deliver bicycle-related educational courses relative to the community and their agency; enhance the delivery of organizational services to the client and community via the bicycle; evaluate and maintain bicycle equipment; evaluate and consult on current operations and policies.
***All students must provide current proof of completed accredited First Aid/CPR training, as well as proof of prior bicycle training (minimum 24 hour LEBA or IPMBA course)

CJSTC Officer Certification and Officer Discipline Workshop
DATES/TIMES: Wednesday, July 18, 2012/ 8:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M. -OR- 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
LOCATION: FKCC Main Campus, Public Safety Building, Room P206
DESCRIPTION: Presented by the staff of the Criminal Justice Professionalism Program, this workshop provides an educational opportunity for HR Personnel, Background Investigators, IA Investigators, Training Staff and Agency Administrators in two informative sessions.
Morning Session: Overview of the officer certification process, including employment rules, ATMS functions, annual reports, mandatory retraining and firearms qualification.
Afternoon Session: Overview of the officer discipline process, including applicable statutes and rules, agency responsibilities, background investigations, case initiation, CJSTC Commission hearings, and final Commission action.
