Police & Public Safety Diving
This track is for Law Enforcement and Public safety Agencies to work in an underwater environment. Florida Keys Community College is the premier location for public safety diver training in the United States today. Resources available to support the highly specialized curriculum that has assumed new importance since 9/11 include a major Public Safety Annex affiliated with the FKCC Institute of Criminal Justice, a staff with unprecedented experience, access to the busiest (most passengers) cruise ship port of call in the eastern United States, and cooperative arrangements with the cruise ship industry, the United States Navy and Coast Guard, the Port of Key West, and city, county and state public safety agencies.
