Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement

 

The criminal justice and law enforcement program is for students planning to concentrate in the law enforcement area of the criminal justice system. In this program, students will prepare for administrative and law enforcement management positions with municipal, county, state and federal agencies. The training offered through this program meets the requirements of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.

Basic Law Enforcement Academy #41:  Full-Time/Day-Time, KEY WEST CAMPUS ~ June 7, 2010 - December 10, 2010.
7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M - FRI   (Unless otherwise scheduled).
This is the 770 hour Florida Law Enforcement Officer Basic Recruit Training Course.  Successful completion of this course is required to take the State Law Enforcement Officer Certification examination.
Total number of required training hourse:  770
 DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF COMPLETED APPLICATIONS: APRIL 2, 2010
***ENROLLMENT MINIMUM OF 10 ACADEMY STUDENTS, OTHERWISE ACADEMY WILL BE CANCELLED*** NO EXCEPTIONS!
 
Corrections Basic Recruit Academy:  Full-Time/Day-Time, KEY WEST CAMPUS ~ NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. M - FRI (Unless otherwise scheduled).
This is the 552 hour Florida Corrections Officer Basic Recruit Training Course.  Successful completion of this course is required to take the State Corrections Officer Certification examination.
 

Basic Law Enforcement Academy #40:  Part-Time/Night-Time, KEY WEST CAMPUS   April 12, 2010 - December 2010.
6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. M - TH       8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Alternate Saturdays) (Unless otherwise scheduled)
This is the required course to become a Certified Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Florida

This is the required course to become a Certified Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Florida

Cross Over Correctional to Law Enforcement Academy #21:  Part-Time/Night-Time, KEY WEST CAMPUS ~ June 28, 2010 - January 2011
6:30pm - 10:30pm M - TH (Unless otherwise scheduled). 
1:00 - 7:00 p.m. (Alternate Saturdays) (Unless otherwise scheduled)
This is the required course to cross over from Certified Correctional Officer to Certified Basic Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Florida.
