This Emergency Medical Technician certificate program is designed for persons involved in the emergency care of the sick and injured. EMT program participants include firefighters, law enforcement officers, volunteer rescue personnel, lifeguards and those wishing to enter the EMS profession at hospitals and other health care agencies.

For undergraduate admission to a state university, students must have earned two years of sequential foreign language at the high school level, or complete (with passing grades) at least 8 semester hours at a previous college or university (as required by Florida Statute 240.233).
