)Acceptance of this scholarship reflects the recipients understanding of these guidelines and the intention to comply with them.

)The scholarship is awarded for one (1) calendar year commencing August of the year in which the scholarship application is approved, and ending August of the following year. It will be renewed for the next calendar year if all guidelines and requirements have been met and funding allows.

)The scholarship amounts to full payment of all in-state tuition charges for the effective terms. The student pays for the application fee, laboratory fees, special fees, and the cost of books and supplies.

)Students receiving the scholarship must be degree seeking and must enroll as a full-time student with a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours during Terms I and II (fall and spring). Summer registration is not mandatory; however, students may enroll for a maximum of six (6) credits in the summer. ( Students who wish to be exempted must submit a letter to the Vice President for Student Affairs that details the experience and skills that allow for a waiver of the 3-credit rule)

)The scholarship recipient must complete and sign the application for the Student Ambassador Scholarship and submit it to the Coordinator of Student Activities (attachment 74.23A).

)The scholarship recipient must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine need. Contact the Financial Aid office for information.

)The recipient must have completed a minimum of three (3) credit hours with FKCC and have a 2.5 grade point average. ( Students who wish to be exempted must submit a letter to the Vice President for Student Affairs that details the experience and skills that allow for a waiver of the 3-credit rule)

)All Ambassadors will be evaluated at the end of each semester for approval of continuation to the next semester.

)Should the recipient be unable to register for or complete the required amount of credits in a given term due to unforeseen or extenuating circumstances, he/she may petition the Vice President for Student Affairs for a waiver which if granted, would maintain the scholarship as effective.
