Financial Aid Overview

Key Financial Aid Dates

 

Jan 26th -  LAST DAY for students with Financial Aid to register for Spring term classes. Students registering for Spring Term classes after this date will not receive financial aid for those classes.

Feb 11th - Spring Term - First-year Stafford Loan borrowers may pick up their Spring Term loan checks.
 
Feb 12th - Spring Term - LAST Day for students to submit a completed Stafford loan application for Spring term.
 
Mar 24th - Spring Term - Last day to withdraw from class with a grade of "W".  
 
Mar 29th – Apr 2nd - College Closed – Spring break.
  

April 16th - Summer Term Financial Aid Deadline. Students applying for aid for the Summer term must have submitted an error free FAFSA and supplied the Financial Aid Office with all pending verification documents by April 16, 2010. Failure to meet this deadline may result in the student not receiving tuition/fee deferral in time for the Payment Due Date of April 30, 2010 and consequently the student will be required to pay outstanding balances (tuition and fees) out of pocket. Students with outstanding balances on April 30, 2010 will be voided from their classes and a $25 reinstatement fee will be applied when the student re-registers

 

April 30th  

Summer Term tuition and fees are due. Students that have not completed their financial aid applications will be removed from their courses for non-payment. Students that have made arrangements with the Financial Aid office to defer fees will not be voided from their classes.

 

May 3rd   

Spring Term classes end

 

May 5th – May 7th

Financial Aid Suspension, Probation, and Maximum Time-frame notices will be mailed to students that failed to meet Financial Aid measures of satisfactory academic progress for Spring Term. Financial aid awards will be removed for students enrolled in Summer courses that have been determined to be on suspension or have reached maximum time-frame at the end of Spring term.

 

May 10th  

Summer Term A and C classes start

 

May 17th   

Last day to drop or add a class for Summer Term A and C with a 100% refund.

 

May 18th

Students that have received a tuition/fee deferral who still have outstanding balances will be voided from their classes May 18, 2010 and a $25 reinstatement fee will be applied when the student re-registers.

 

May 25th  

All book store vouchers EXPIRE FOR ALL SUMMER TERM SESSIONS on May 25th.

 

May 26th  

1st day to pick up Stafford & Parent Plus loan disbursement checks for Sprint Term students with completed Stafford Loan applications.

 

June 1st

·         LAST DAY for students with Financial Aid to register for all SUMMER term classes. Students registering for Summer Term classes after this date will not receive financial aid for those classes.

·         LAST DAY for students to submit a Stafford Loan request for Summer 2010 term.

 

June 1st

Summer Term Financial Aid Disbursement - Financial aid will be applied to all student accounts that have verified attendance. Refund checks will be mailed to students by June 11, 2010. Please be sure to update your mailing address with Enrollment Services if you have recently changed address.

 

June 7th  

Last Day to withdraw with a grade of “W” from a Summer term A courses.

 

June 10th   

Summer Term - First-year Stafford Loan borrowers may pick up their loan checks.

 

June 18th

Summer term A ends

Summer term B starts

 

June 28th

July  6th
