Graduation FAQ
Q: What do I need to do to graduate? Isn’t it automatic?
A: Students who have completed 45 hours or more should meet with an academic advisor to determine what requirements must be met in order to graduate. The student may then complete an Application for Graduation on the campus.

Q: Is there a fee or cost to graduate?
A: Yes, the fee is $25.00.

Q: When can I apply for graduation? Is there a deadline?
A: There is a deadline each semester to apply for graduation. Please check here: Academic Calendar for the next deadline date. The date is also published in the FKCC catalog and Student Handbook.

Q: Is there a ceremony each term?
A: FKCC has only one ceremony which takes place at the end of the spring term. Graduates and candidates who graduate during any term in the academic year (September through August) should consider participating.

Q: Is there a cost or limit to the number of family members and friends I can invite? Do they need to show an invitation to get in?
A: Currently, FKCC does not charge or limit the number of guests nor do they require an invitation for admission.

Q: Where do I go to purchase a cap and gown?
A: The FKCC Campus Store located on the main campus sell caps and gowns, honor cords and graduation invitations. These items are usually available in late March. More specific information will be posted in early spring.

Q: When will I receive my diploma?
A: Diplomas are printed and mailed upon completion of degree requirements approximately 30 days after the end of the semester. It is the responsibility of the student to have a correct permanent address on file in the on-line system. Updates can be made at the Enrollment Office on your campus/center.
