SCHOLARSHIPS
For
Florida Keys Community College Students
The Florida Keys Educational Foundation was established to support Florida Keys Community College’s students, programs and services. The Foundation is dedicated to providing scholarships to FKCC students from funds raised through the support of private donors and public agencies.
A variety of scholarship opportunities are currently being offered to students including:
· Full Time Degree Seeking – Florida Residents: Two year awards for full-time, degree seeking students that will cover tuition for 60 credit hours,
· Full Time Degree Seeking – Out-of-State Students: Two year awards for full-time, degree seeking students in the amount of $9,000 ($2,250/semester),
· First Generation in College – awards for students whose parents did not complete a baccalaureate degree, in the amount of $1,000 for full-time (12+ credits) and $500 for part-time (6+ credits); a one-semester award,
· Nursing – Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 full-time and $500 part-time; a one semester award,
· General – Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 full-time and $500 part-time; a one semester award,
· Other – Specific scholarships in the areas of arts, business, criminal justice, etc.
Awards are based on financial need, scholarship, leadership, and character. A General Scholarship Application Form must be filled out and submitted with a specific Scholarship Checklist and essay for each of the scholarships for which you want to apply. Applicants must have completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and must attach their high school and/or college transcripts.
Scholarships can be applied to tuition and fees. Students may reapply for scholarships each semester as appropriate.
