Financial Aid Overview

November 18th
Last day to submit an error free FAFSA for Spring term, to avoid having to pay tuition and fees upfront. Transfer students must have all official transcripts submitted by this date as well.
 
November 21st
1st day bookstore vouchers will be issued for spring term. Students will be required to use their vouchers before January 20. For more information go to: http://www.fkcc.edu/current-students/bookvouchers.da
 
December 12
Last day to pay tuition and fees for the Spring term. Students that have not completed their financial aid applications or have an outstanding partial balance on their account will be removed from their courses for non-payment. 
  
December 15th – 17th
Financial Aid Suspension, Probation, and Maximum Time-frame notices will be emailed to students that failed to meet Financial Aid measures of satisfactory academic progress for Fall term. Financial aid awards will be removed for students enrolled in Spring term courses that have been determined to be on suspension or have reached maximum time-frame for Fall term.
 
January 9th
Spring classes begin.
 
January 16th
Martin Luther King Day, college closed.
 
January 17th
Last day to add or drop Spring courses and receive 100% refund.
 
January 20th
Last day to use a Spring term bookstore voucher before they expire
 
February 6th
Students who have been approved for financial aid, this is the last day to register for a Spring term class that you wish to receive financial aid for. Registrations after this date will require payment from the student. Last day to apply for Direct Loan for Spring term.
 
February 7th
Financial Aid Disbursement date. This is the date that funds from approved Direct Loans, Pell, SEOG, State and Foundation scholarships are paid to student accounts. The Financial Aid & Business Office will validate student attendance and calculate refunds after tuition, fees and bookstore charges have been paid. The remaining credit balance will be refunded to students via check. Business Services will print and mail checks to students within 14 days of disbursement.
 
February 20th
President’s Day, college closed
 
March 27th
Last day to withdraw from a spring term class with a grade of “W”
 
March 30th
