The Continuing Education and Distance Learning Department offers an array of online professional programs that are designed to enhance and strengthen skills as well as open-enrollment programs designed to provide the skills necessary to acquire professional caliber positions for many in-demand occupations.
There are three types of online courses:
FKCC proctored online courses. FKCC has partnered with Desire2Learn. Together we offer courses that have specific start dates. You do not have to be online at any specific time. You are expected to complete assignments on a timely manner as requested per the FKCC instructor. After registering for this on-line course, you will access your classroom on-line for assignments, quizzes, and discussions. Back to Top
6-week online courses. FKCC has partnered with Education2Go. Together we offer courses that have specific start dates consisting of two lessons a week (one every Wednesday and one every Friday). You do not need to be online at any specific time. You are expected to complete each quiz and assignment within ten days. "Start any time" online courses. FKCC has partnered with Gatlin Education Services. Together we offer many online certificate programs in the Allied Health, Computer-Internet, Business, Technical and Construction industries. Each course varies in length and number of lessons. This method provides self-paced courses with open enrollment, i.e. you can enroll and start the course at any time during the year. You do not need to be online at any specific time. Back to Top
