Online Learning

Online Learning at FKCC

Are you ready for Online Learning?
Taking an online class requires advanced study habits, learning styles, technical skills and motivation to succeed that some traditional classes may not. Before you register for an online course, you must make sure online learning is right for you.
Use SORT (Student Online Readiness Tool*), a self-paced web tool, to assess whether or not your skills, habits and lifestyle are a fit for online learning before you enroll in an online class at FKCC. Be sure to print out your results of SORT to keep for your records.

About Online Learning
If you have decided that online learning is right for you and have registered for a Hybrid or a Web (Online) course at FKCC, part (or all) of your course will take place online using the college's online learning management system, Desire2Learn (D2L). Once registered and enrolled in the class, you will be able to log in to your class any time and anywhere at http://online.fkcc.edu, the Desire2Learn homepage, with only a web browser and an Internet connection by using your FKCC issued username and password (see the Welcome Letter below for details). It is recommended to bookmark the above website or save it to your internet browser's favorites once you've accessed the site to easily return to it.

For more information on logging in to online learning on Desire2Learn, download and read the Welcome Letter from the Office of Online Learning.

Please note: It takes up to 12-24 hours from the time a student registers for an online or hybrid course for the student to gain access to the course in Desire2Learn.
