Strategic Planning for 2007-2010
Strategic Planning is the process by which FKCC confronts its major, long-term decisions. Strategic planning has both an external and internal focus. It spans organizational boundaries and involves a continual scanning process as a means of actively monitoring changes in the environment that will likely have implications for the College.
Strategic Planning Structure at FKCC:
Strategic Planning at FKCC is based on a three-year cycle, with evaluations and assessments being performed annually in coordination with the state reporting year: July 1 st through June 30 th . The evaluation of the Strategic Plan's effectiveness is done through assessment of its action plans. Action plans are specific steps developed by the College to achieve its strategic objectives, consequently demonstrating achievement of the institutional goals and ultimately the mission.
As such, the completed assessment results for the 2005-2006 action plans and the College's utilization of those results were documented in an appendix to the existing strategic plan and were submitted to the College Board of Trustees in October for review. At the November 2006 Board of Trustees meeting, the appendix to the 2004-2007 Strategic Plan was approved.
