The following courses are available to students to take for credit:

LIS 1005: Electronic Access to Information is a two unit, hands-on introduction to finding and organizing online information. The class explores a variety of websites to discover how information is created and structured and then we apply what we learn by conducting real world website user studies.

LIS 2004: Introduction to the Internet is a one unit course that is taught completely online. This course introduces students to the concept of using the Internet as an information retrieval tool, and teaches strategies for locating and analyzing information. This one-credit course is designed to help students develop the basic information literacy skills necessary for college course work, general research, and for lifelong learning in an information-centered society.
