Spottswood and Saunders Memorial Garden
This memorial honors the two founding fathers of the college and their families: Senator John M. Spottswood and
Representative Jack A. Saunders. Together, they introduced legislation in the Florida House and Senate to establish Florida
Keys Community College.
Student Success Center
Located above the ceramics lab in the Tennessee Williams Fine Arts Center, the Student Success Center is the home to the
college’s new developmental math program Island TIME—Transition Into Math Excellence). The SSC is a student-friendly
environment with adjoining classroom and test/homework lab space with individual computer stations. Fully-staffed with
tutors and lab assistants, the SSC is open evenings and weekends to further accommodate students’ needs.
TennesseeWilliams Fine Arts Center
This center houses the community’s largest theater, the Tennessee Williams Theater. It also has classrooms for the
instruction of fine arts, ceramics, sculpture, mixed community chorus, and developmental math.
Middle and Upper Keys Centers
In addition to the main campus, FKCC has established a presence throughout the Keys with a Middle Keys Center in
Marathon and an Upper Keys Center in Tavernier. These two centers are shared facilities with the Monroe County School
District and are co-located in public high schools.
