Welcome to Spring/Summer 2013
Welcome new, returning and future students of
Florida Keys Community College! In case you
do not already know, FKCC is more than your
typical college. We offer a unique educational
experience—with superior instruction,
personal attention, and Keys charm. Where
else can you wake up in an ocean front
residence hall, attend class in an underwater
classroom, study in a library that is also an art
gallery, and learn from world class instructors
who actually know your name?
At FKCC, our priority is you: our students. Our mission is to help
you accomplish your educational goals. Whether those goals are
to graduate and transfer to a university, enter or advance in the
workforce, or just learn something new—you are likely to find what
you are looking for in the following pages. And if you have any
questions or need help, don’t hesitate to ask. Ask an advisor; ask an
instructor; ask me! We are all eager to help you succeed!
When you have a chance, I invite you to visit me in my office in
building “A” on the Key West Campus. Send me an email at
president@fkcc.edu. I love to hear from students—especially when
you have good news and success stories to share. Check out our
website at fkcc.edu.
Best of luck with your studies,
Jonathan Gueverra, Ed.D
President
