Your gateway to a variety of financial aid opportunities is completion of a FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid. Students may be eligible for grants, loans, scholarships, and work study programs. If you plan to take
classes at FKCC, you will need to complete the 2012-13 FAFSA.
The application is a three-step process:
Apply for a PIN at
This step will require you and your parents (if you are under age 24) to
enter identification information such as social security number and date of birth. The Federal government
reviews this data and will return a PIN to you in 2 to 3 business days via email.
Complete the 2012-13 FAFSA and enter FKCC’s Federal code
You and your parents (if you are under the age of 24) will need to sign it electronically.
Completed FAFSAs are submitted directly to the Federal processing agency and transmitted electronically to the
college within a few business days. If your application is rejected, we will notify you in writing.
If your application is selected for “verification,” you will receive a letter in the mail requesting:

Students requesting Federal Direct Loans are required to complete Entrance Counseling, sign their Master Promissory
