The Associate in Science degree is a transfer degree. It is a 60-plus college credit degree intended to prepare students for immediate employment in a specific occupational area and prepares students to transfer into the Florida State University System. The degree requires the completion of at least fifteen to eighteen credit hours of transferable general education courses, as well as transferable technical courses. The general education courses will transfer and apply toward the thirty-six hours required for the baccalaureate degree in the Florida State University System.

The Florida Keys Community College Associate in Science (AS) program provides students with a wide-ranging program of study that meets the eligibility requirements of a professional program.  The program allows students to achieve their educational or occupational goals, in a variety of fields including diving, marine environmental technology, marine engineering, nursing, computers programming and information technology, and early childhood education.  Click on the links below to find out more.
