Land a top job or advance in your career by earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management (BAS-SM) at The College of the Florida Keys.  The new baccalaureate degree is designed to prepare graduates to lead and succeed in a wide range of jobs in industries in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

The BAS-SM program includes both coursework and field experience in supervision and management settings, which enables students to integrate theory learned in the classroom with real-world practice.  Graduates will acquire specialized skills in management, finance, marketing, human resources, and leadership.  The BAS-SM program will prepare individuals to develop, plan, manage, and supervise in a variety of workforce settings needed in the Florida Keys and nationwide.


The BAS: Supervision and Management is a four-year degree comprised of 36 credit hours of general education courses, 42 credit hours of lower-level specialized courses, and 42 hours of upper-level course work—totaling 120 credits.  The program follows a “2 + 2” model, in which a student first earns an associate degree or equivalent (two-year degree) before entering two years of upper level coursework (read more below).  Upper-level coursework includes, but is not limited to the following:

Graduates of the BAS: Supervision and Management will be prepared to lead and manage business operations in a variety of workforce settings.  Career opportunities include the following occupations:

2 + 2 Pathway:

The BAS in Supervision and Management follows a “2 + 2” model, which builds upon knowledge and skills already acquired at the associate degree level.  To be admitted to the BAS-SM program, students must have earned an Associate in Arts, an Associate in Science, or an equivalent from a regionally accredited institution.

You can start your journey toward the BAS-SM through several academic paths at CFK.  First, choose an associate degree that best aligns with your career interests and goals.  Upon completion of your associate degree, you may apply to the BAS program.
