Graduation Day

Check-in for graduates begins at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, May 1st. Graduates must be in the college administration building lobby by 5:30 p.m. to be lined up for the processional with their cap and gown. The processional begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. We ask that all guests with tickets be in the Tennessee Williams Theatre and in their seats before 6:30 p.m. for the faculty and the graduates to enter in grand fashion.  After all tickets have been disbursed and there is no more seating in the lobby, guests without tickets may choose to sit in the overflow area (adjacent classrooms viewing the ceremony via a live stream). Each graduate will have his or her name called as they walk across the stage and shake hands with the President of the College and the Chairperson of the College Board of Trustees.

A professional photographer is available to take pictures of each graduate as they receive their degree. The graduates must stay until the program ends with the recessional. Family and friends are asked to remain in their seats until the recessional is complete.

Please contact the Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Micah Carter, if you should have any additional questions at micah.carter@fkcc.edu or 305-809-3268.
